SPROUT MEET #14
Driving cities in the right direction? Our mobility choices determine what cities we get.
While some might think, that the transport infrastructure of a city just defines how we move from one place to another, it is actually a crucial influence on society. The mobility solutions we make for our cities have wide-ranging effects on many factors, such as work, choice of education, our health, the environment, the economy and so on. The infrastructure of a city is fundamental for the quality of daily life for its citizens - its liveability.
The increase in numbers of people who live in cities and a growing need for a more sustainable future call for an innovative approach to urban planning, in order to ensure the optimal solutions for all road users, whether it is cyclists, motorists or users of public transportation. On February 9, 2017, the question of mobility and urban development is brought into discussion, when Gottlieb Paludan Architects invites to the first Sprout Meet of 2017.
