Did you know that the Danish Architecture Centre runs - the internationale webzine about starchitecture from all over the world?

The site is mainly based on images and features about architecture and works by a wide range of some of the world's leading architects - including many Danish architects.

The editorial content also comprises travel guides, book recommendations, exhibition reviews, biographies and presentations of sketches by selected architects. på iPad


Visitors from all over the world has approx. 1,030,000 visits and 740.000 unique visitors every year. The site has users from all over the world. Most of them are architects. 23% of users are based in the USA, while less than 1% of the visits come from Denmark.

Background is founded in 1999 by Kirsten Kiser, a Danish Architect living in Los Angeles. In 2011 Kirsten Kiser handed over as a gift to The Danish Architecture Centre, who relaunched the website in 2012 in a new and improved version and a significant visual facelift.
