IFHP - 100 years old and still cutting edge

IFHP is DAC& CITIES international collaborator with whom we develop a wide array of activities. IFHP is an abbreviation for ”The International Federation for Housing and Planning” which is a worldwide network of professionals representing the broad field of housing and planning.

IFHP was founded in 1913 by the architect Ewart Culpin under the presidency of  Ebenezer Howard, who is known for his publication "Garden Cities of Tomorrow" (1898). This publication became the basis for the Garden City movement period in city planning.

Today IFHP is still focusing on how to heighten the quality of life in our cities. The federation organizes a wide range of  activities  across the globe creating opportunities for an international exchange of knowledge and experience in the professional field.

As an IFHP member you will be involved in these activities, get an international network and access to the newest trends and outstanding experts within the field.

IFHP's headquarter is situated in Copenhagen and Flemming Borreskov is the president of the federation.
