Friis Citycenter

With spaces for shops, a hotel and businesses, Friis in downtown Aalborg is intended to bring new life and charm to the city centre, and at the same time be the focal point for new trends and concepts.
Two wide footbridges connect the two parts of the complex: a new building facing the harbour, and the refurbished ‘Magasin’ department store building facing the pedestrian street.
Recesses in the buildings’ shapes, varied window formats and the white plaster fronts provide a contemporary look, and reflect the city’s structure and diversity.
