The Royal Custom House
Today the building complex consists of three wings in national romantic style with Renaissance motifs, such as the symmetrical facade with the monumental flight of steps. The red masonry rests upon a heavy base of rough-hewn granite ashlar. At the top the building is crowned by a roof with eaves and many details as well as small copper attics.
Hack Kampmann was Royal building inspector.
