Danish Architecture Guide

University of Aalborg (formerly C.W. Obels Factories)

The tobacco company C.W. Obel extended its factory with this functionalist concrete building, which must be considered one of the most perfect of its kind in Denmark. The proportioning of the building, the visible facade construction and the colour scheme - which is fairly well-preserved - make it an excellent example of industrial architecture from that periode. The building has been successfully converted to educational purposes without altering the architectural design significantly.
