Strandparken

The park building scheme is one of the early examples of functionalist park construction in Denmark. The architect modelled the building scheme on the functionalist ideas of light and healthy homes set in green surroundings. The orientation of the detached buildings ensures sunlight and views from balconies and bay windows. The multistorey housing scheme has low roofs and is built in brick with rendered facades. Today the facades have a pale yellow colour, but originally they were limewashed in different bright pastel shades.
