Danish Architecture Guide

University of Aarhus

University of Århus consists of uniform and simple buildings with sharp outlines. The first buildings were raised in 1933, and the latest addition is the Lecture Hall Building from 2001. The university has a quite exceptional homogeneous expression owing to the coherent style and the uniform materials. Lecture halls, residence halls, institutes, the library and the museum in the University Park are all built in yellow brick with yellow tile roofs. Århus Universitet is a principal work in Danish functionalist architecture.
