Church of Elijah

The church is built with Romanesque features, twin towers and a distinctive, steep flight of steps towards the square.
At the time of erection the building marked a new architectural era because of the rough facade built of split sandstone laid in an irregular bond and the unconventional way of fitting it into the row of houses.
