Langelinie Bridge

Pedestrians and cyclists have a new access route from Østerbro towards the peaceful and historical Kastellet (the Citadel). It was built in 1895 for the much heavier traffic from the old industrial harbour. Today vulnerable road users have taken over the bridge, which completes yet another green cycle route.
The ground under the bridge is a jumble of masts, wires and railway tracks. As a contrast to this the bridge curves gently against the backdrop of tree crowns, and ivy is slowly beginning to cover the concrete base of the bridge.
