The Copper Tower

At the northern harbour entrance to Copenhagen stands a copper tower of sixteen storeys. Gradually, as the salty wind from Øresund gets busy on the copper of the facade, the colour of the tower will change into that copper-green shade that we know from other towers and roof-tops in town.

The copper tower is an integral part of the plan for Amerika Plads that the Dutch architect Adrian Geuze has developed. Geuze originally envisioned the tower of all towers that would rise proudly above the harbour and add to the Copenhagen copper skyline.
