Danish Architecture Guide

Tycho Brahes Planetarium

The combination of the bevelled cylinder and the acute and obtuse angled wings forms, in conjunction with the supergraphic brick bands on the facades, a rare cocktail in Danish architecture. Nevertheless the building seems well placed in the urban context. The building is a brick clad construction with a supporting concrete structure and brick masonry of red, yellow and blue glazed bricks. The cylinder is made of yellow bricks with stretcher bond and flush joints.
