"What makes a livable city_" - a copenhagen x exhibition about new architecture and urban development in copenhagen.

June 10 - October 23 2011 at the Danish Architecture Centre and other places around the city.

Showing 3 November - 4 December at the International Architecture Biennale in São Paulo, Brasil.

The major exhibition at the Danish Architecture Center this summer provides an insight into the huge changes that have taken place in Copenhagen in the past ten years - from the massive urban development programme at Ørestad to new cultural landmarks and green urban spaces in the old working-class areas.

At the same time, the exhibition looks to the future, asking the question: How can we build on the experience of these past ten years and continue to create the right settings for growth and welfare in the future? This exhibition is the third and last of the series of Copenhagen X exhibitions about new architecture and urban development in the capital.

Get the details of the three major urban development projects in Copenhagen, widely different in their points of departure: Ørestad, Nordhavnen and Carlsberg. See models of a range of prestige projects created in the past ten years by architects from Denmark and abroad.
