Copenhagen Solutions in Beijing
The travelling exhibition Copenhagen Solutions demonstrating Copenhagen's green urban buildings and development was on display at the Green Building Expo 2013 in Beijing.
On display at the Danish Pavilion is the exhibition Copenhagen Solutions by The Danish Architecture Centre, which has previously been exhibited in Hong Kong and Singapore. The Danish Pavilion covers an area of 180 sqm and is established in order to promote Danish competences in the building sector in the Chinese market.

The Danish Pavilion consists of seven Danish companies that hold solid competences in sustainable urban and building design. The companies offer world class solutions which China is in need of in order to build energy efficient structures, renovate for higher energy efficiency and deliver energy efficient building material.
The Danish companies are COWI, KPF Arkitekter, Roxul, Danish Energy Management, FISH China and Danish Technological Institute and Copenhagen Solutions.
The exhibition Copenhagen Solutions is developed by the Danish Architecture Centre for Copenhagen Solutions, which is a public, private partnership of the City of Copenhagen and Realdania.
As part of the event was held a round table debate on April 2
including: The City of Copenhagen, the City of Beijing, The Danish
Architecture Centre, Chinese developers, Danish and Chinese
companies within the building components supply sector and Danish
architectural firms and engineering consultancy firms.
The aim was to facilitate a dialogue on sustainable city development with a focus on the good business cases within sustainable buildings.
The participating Danish architects was:
- Kristian Ahlmark, Architect, Partner and Head of Copenhagen Office, Schmidt Hammer Lassen architects
- Signe Kongebro, Architect, Associate Partner and Manager of Sustainability Department, Henning Larsen Architects
- Kai-Uwe Bergmann, Partner, Director Business Development, BIG
The 9th International Conference on Green and Energy-Efficient Building and New Technologies and Products Expo ran from April 1 to April 3 2013.
