In 2018, BLOX will open on the Copenhagen waterfront next to the Black Diamond. When finalized, BLOX will provide a unique setting for the creative professions involved in urban development, construction, architecture and design as well as a place for recreational outdoor urban spaces, playgrounds, homes and cafés.

Among others, BLOX will house Danish Architecture Centre.

We are excited to see the construction of our future home progress day by day. A lot of things have already happened since the construction began in 2013. Follow the progress during 2015, and get an overview of the amazing waterfront site, in this new time-lapse video (above).

Sustainable starchitecture

The vision of BLOX is to create a building of exceptional architectonic quality. Since BLOX is designed by the Netherlandish "starchitect" Rem Koolhass and his world renowned office, OMA, this dream should be within reach. BLOX is also a sustainable project in all aspects - environmental, social, economic, and in relation to consumption and resources.
